Kristina Ross, MD
I grew up in Gig Harbor, Washington, in a bilingual household, speaking Norwegian with my siblings and mother almost exclusively. From a young age, I was curious about science, which evolved into an interest in medicine.
I attended the University of Washington, with a pre-med focus and a major in Psychology. After four years in upstate New York at Albany Medical College, I moved with my husband to Denver for my Internal Medicine residency at the University of Colorado. At the start of residency, I knew I was interested in pursuing a specialty and refined that to Gastroenterology as my training progressed.
If life wasn’t busy enough, towards the end of residency we had our first child, hence I elected to work a year as a hospitalist at the Denver County hospital before proceeding further with specialty training. I completed my Gastroenterology fellowship in 2019, also through the University of Colorado. Upon (finally!) completing training, we decided to move to Bellingham as it was a great fit for me professionally and for our family.
We absolutely love being back in the PNW! Our families are concentrated in the greater region and we love the outdoors. Outside of work, my time is spent with my husband and our two children. We can be found playing at parks, walking the beach, taking our dog to the dog park, enjoying live music or eating at some of our favorite restaurants around town.
Dr. Ross joined NW Gastroenterology & Endoscopy in 2019.
